Establish, develop and validate structural design concepts through static and dynamic assessment of metallic and composite aero-structures using semi-empirical and analytical approaches.
Analyze and develop efficient structural load paths and ensure that all stress requirements are integrated into final design. Consider static and dynamic loads, material rigidity and fatigue using a broad range of standard hand and computer methods and technical information provided by aerodynamicists, thermo-dynamicists and the customer.
Define, support and document structural test efforts to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
Familiarity with aerospace components and programs including an understanding of basic load conditions and load paths.
