Every dollar of fraud that we prevent is a dollar of profit for Amazon, or a dollar that can be used to deliver new features or lower prices for our customers. And because of Amazon\'s huge scale, small improvements can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.
We have the world\'s most advanced fraud detection software, but it still has a long way to go. Come help us build the next generation of our risk management architecture. We\'re looking for senior engineers with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for designing clean solutions to complex problems. You\'ll learn how to develop highly available, fault-tolerant and performant distributed systems that scale to massive levels of traffic, about cutting-edge service-oriented architecture, and artificial intelligence techniques. You will be encouraged to innovate and contribute towards our long-term vision and architecture.
We are in the process of growing the Risk Management team in Bangalore. The team will build and own significant portions of the next generation risk management platform for the whole of Amazon.com and its various offerings. It can also provide unmatchable exposure to lot of Amazon.com business initiatives, as risk management is an integral part of most of them. This is a tremendous and unique opportunity to grow rapidly with the team and take your skills and career to the next level, all while having fun fighting bad guys.
We\'re looking for people with the following qualifications:
• Outstanding expertise in Java and object oriented design.
• Strong Linux (or UNIX) background.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Strong background in computer science and at least a bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Focus on clean high-quality code and solid designs.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Atleast 3 years experience of successful production software deployments.
• Experience with large-scale multi-tiered systems and service-oriented architecture highly desirable.
