1. Delivery of client projects. Has the ability to take responsibility of multiple projects..
2. Participation in high level decision making
3. Formulate Research strategy; Provides strategic support for the project, formulates research strategies, takes decisions regarding strategy implementation.
4. Takes overall responsibility for more than one project in terms of planning, resourcing and strategic decision making.
5. Responsible for all scientific work related to the organization.
6. Responsible for design, implementation and delivery of strategies concerning the research activities.
7. Target identification. Responsible for identifying Targets for internal projects.
8. Responsible for proposing and regularly reviewing an org structure and identifying the needs in terms of manpower, skills, technology, infrastructure and finance.
9. Responsible for implementation of the recommended SHE standards in the organization.
10. Responsible for the development of people both in technical competence and managerial skills and leadership. Ability to mentor project coordinators and project team leaders.
11. Actively involved in formulating and implementation of business strategies and supports BD team efforts.
The person should have experience with a large Biotech/ pharma company and should have handled a cross functional team of 15-20 members working for collaborations with clients in the drug discovery process. The person should have worked in the early stage / evaluation of further development of discovery programs with the external clients. Should have handled 2-3 collaborative projects / programs in drug discovery.
