- Develop a Standard Operating Procedures on safety.
- Ensure Safety education, awareness & culture building.
-Design & conduct various AUDIO-VISUAL safety training program for all company employees & contract workmen for the prevention of personal injuries & safety awareness.
- Train Internal and External customers. (Engineers, workmen, contract labour, vendors etc.) .
- Conduct Periodical Mock Drills & Planning for emergency preparedness.
- To ensure Safe Operating Practices with reference to Man/ Machine/ Material and Environment.
- Implement various occupational Health and Safety Measures/ norms.
- Interacting with Regulatory bodies i.e Pollution control boards, for ensuring compliance to local laws including renewal of licenses / permits related to EHS.
- Ensuring proper handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous materials.
- Ensuring high standards of Electrical safety and appropriate machine guarding. Conduct Risk Assessment & Safety audit.
- Ensure all Statutory compliances on Safety.
- Environmental pollution control activities including STP. To ensure all Health, Safety, Environment and Security measures / standards are maintained at the concerned location.
- Planning & coordinating Safety awareness activities like Celebration of National Safety Day (4thMarch), Safety exhibition, Safety poster, Safety wall painting, Safety Thoughts, Online safety Training, booklets etc…
- Setting up Central Safety committee and other Shop floor committees meetings and procedures, Coordinating with the regulatory authorities connection with safety.
- Rescue in Accident, Investigation of accident, reporting & suggest preventive measures.
- Co-ordinate for testing examination of pressure vessel hoist crane lifting tools etc. from competent person & ensure to safe working of equipments.
- Review of management & technical element of safety system.
- Monitoring of day-to-day Safety operation viz. Permit to Work system Plant Safety Inspection Check list, Group Safety round, etc..
- Also include to look after Fire Department, Fire Training & other Fire systems.. Weekly plant safety inspection round along with each sectional head. (i.e. from Production, Maintenance, Civil, Electrical, Instrument & Safety).
- Circulate digital photos for Unsafe Act/or Condition found during routine round & follow up for its compliance.
